About Juhi Gupta
Juhi is currently holding the position of Senior Manager & Head Sustainability at PepsiCo India. She leads their community water programs focused on conservation of water resources & driving water stewardship through building institutional community models like Water User Associations, Farmers groups, women SHGs etc. for sustainability of the programs. Prior to PepsiCo, she was leading the CSR programs for Monsanto in India working on thematic areas of education, nutrition, water & sanitation, women empowerment, & sustainable agricultural practices. She has worked with leading NGO partners like Akshayapatra, AFPRO, Room to Read, Habitat for Humanity, Alternative Development Initiatives (ADI), ISAP et al.
She is an active member of various industry CSR forums- AMCHAM, FICCI etc. participating in the CSR developments & industry best practices. She has an experience of 14+ years in various facets of Corporate Affairs, starting her career in Government Affairs & moving on to becoming a CSR practitioner. She has initiated various Public Private Partnership (PPP) programs with Governments of Orissa, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu, Jharkhand on boosting maize productivity for better economic returns for the farmers. Her Sustainability efforts at PepsiCo, in water conservation across plant communities have been recognized by ASSOCHAM as the Best Community program in water sector, in the recently held National Conference cum Awards on Water management. She has also got few other CSR recognitions for efforts on a project on water & sanitation for communities by FICCI & an International recognition for nutrition project, run in partnership with reputed NGOs.
She has a certification from Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) for completing the programme on “Strategizing Sustainability & CSR Projects Development”. She also has a certificate of honour from Bennett University, a Times Group Initiative for completing the first CSR Practitioner Series. She holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Relations, after completing her Graduation in English Literature from Delhi University.
She is very committed & passionate about CSR, & strongly feels that community engagement should be viewed as a vital component of business not just as a license to operate but as an opportunity for being a good corporate citizen, creating real value for the underserved communities.
